File Validation

Data files are checked, off-line, for compliance with the relevant Tax Office Electronic Media Specifications (EMS - formerly known as the Magnetic Media Specifications) prior to being sent to the Tax Office, or if the [Check File] button is clicked. Data files will not be transmitted if there are variances (errors) detected during the validation process.

To view the Validation Error Report click on the [View Error File] button. The Validation Error Report will be displayed using MS Notepad. It can be printed or saved under a different name for later reference.
