Export Data from the In Tray
Certain accounting software packages
have been designed to work with the ECI Client software.
You can export a document from the In Tray
to an Extensible Markup Language (XML) format file which can
then be used by a participating accounting software application.
You can then work on the document in the accounting software
application rather than in the ECI Client software.
When you are ready, you can import
all the information you have added, provided that the matching
document is still in your In Tray. Documents
are matched by their Document Identification Number, Australian
Business Number and Period dates.
When you export a document, a copy
is retained in your In Tray. You can edit
the copy in the In Tray if required, however
any changes you make in the document stored in the In
Tray will be overwritten by changes made to the exported
document once you import the document back to the In
Tray.
Note: If you use a
commercial Accounting Software package, your Software Developer
may be able to provide you with more information on this feature.
To export data using the Export
button on the In Tray, perform the following
steps:
- Click on one or more documents in the
In Tray to select them.

- Click on the Export button.
The Export dialog box is displayed.

- Select a location on your computer to save the information and click
on the Export button.
